Mistborn Book Review

Updated: Apr 21, 2019

One of my favorite authors of all time is Brandon Sanderson. He writes amazing fantasy books that never disappoint my expectations. One of my favorite books from him is Mistborn. Mistborn is the first book in a trilogy called Mistborn: Final Empire. It follows a street rat girl named Vin, residing in a world ruled over by a seemingly immortal emperor known only as the “Lord Ruler”. When Vin is recruited out of the blue to a special crew, she is very surprised and confused. The situation only gets crazier as she realizes what this crew is planning to do: topple the Lord Ruler and the empire he controls. This book harnesses an amazingly creative magic system, along with relatable characters and an in-depth society and social hierarchy. Sanderson can easily keep readers sucked in with unexpected plot twists and discoveries, along with weird creatures and insanely detailed action scenes. This is an amazing book, and I strongly recommend you read it. Brandon Sanderson is an incredible author, and I will – without a doubt – be reviewing more books and series by him. Mistborn is an amazing novel, with an interesting magic system, and detailed political elements mixed in.
