Warbreaker Book Review

Updated: May 27, 2019

Warbreaker is an amazing fantasy book, written by none other than Brandon Sanderson (I know I've done a lot of his books). Warbreaker takes place in a fantasy world teetering on the brink of mass war. In order to speed along peace efforts, a princess (named Siri) is sent to the opposing nation to marry their god-king. Meanwhile, Siri's sister infiltrates the nation, attempting to sabotage their war effort and cause them to give up. Warbreaker is a fantastic fantasy novel, filled with humor, politics, strategy, and mysteries. The magic system within it is incredibly interesting: people use their natural life force to imbue life into inanimate objects, and in some cases, corpses. There are surprising plot twists, massive character developments, and overall the book is just written very well. This is standalone novel (for now), so people who don't like series, this is perfect for you. This book is high on my list of favorites, and I recommend that any fantasy fan read this. Warbreaker is an amazing fantasy book that has a perfect blend of politics and action, along with interesting magic and witty characters.
